Part-Time Animator

We are looking for a part-time talented Animator to create high-quality artwork. As the Animator, you will work closely with our content development team to develop inspiring artwork and animations. You will be responsible for formulating concepts and rendering draft illustrations/animations from written words, models, sketched ideas, and from your imagination.

To be successful in this role, you should be a highly artistic person with a passion for creative technologies. You should be able to draw, paint and work on digital software in a variety of styles and mediums. Your specific responsibilities include:

• Brainstorming with the creative writing team to come up with image ideas.

• Preparing and designing rough draft illustrations/ animations according to client/team specifications.

• Creating complete illustrations by combining painting, hand-drawn and digitally created images.

• Refining image design using illustration/animation software.

• Enhancing the design concept using a wide range of colors and graphics.

Minimum Requirements:

• Portfolio of completed artwork (illustrations and animation)

• Prior work or internship experience as an animations, illustrator, graphic designer, or similar.

• Work experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Drawing, painting and digital drawing skills.

• Strong conceptual and artistic skills

• Versatile animation style

• Experience with storyboard and animatics 

• Ability to work in a virtual startup environment

This position is part time and is currently open to all but particularly recent grads or students pursuing a degree in animation.
